Christmas is Just Around the Corner

Santa Claus is coming to town!
Singapore is already in the mood for Christmas, carols playing and decors all over the place.

Tip1: Visit Somerset 313 to enjoy the decors up to the highest floor, the shops are also giving away special gifts and good deals for shoppers.

Tip2: Go and see the giant Christmas tree at Takashimaya Atrium.

Tip3: Wear the comfiest shoes and stroll along Orchard Road and enjoy taking snaps of the beautiful lights.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from Mr. and Mrs. Santos! Peace and love!

Quick Dinner at Swensens

Just a quick stop at Swensens Causeway Point in Woodlands, Singapore, we had a sumptous dinner. I tried this resto for a couple of times specially during our team lunch but it was my husband's first taste of Swensens.

Swensens offers quite a variety of dishes mainly pastas, baked rice, pizzas and steaks.

I recommend fried rice with soft shell crab and beef stroganoff baked rice.

Also try Swensens dessert, chewy chocolate is a delight!
It may be a simple dinner but tummies surely are happy.

Buffet at Seoul Garden

Just an occasional meet-up with a close friend who invited us to try this buffet resto located at Yishun, Singapore. Seoul Garden is just a simple buffet restaurant, the choices are quite limited but it's already a good choice for any Korean cravings.

Tip1: Buffet is almost SGD30 per person from 11am to 4pm.
Tip2: The varieties are not so many but they offer the basics including soup, pasta, chicken, teriyaki meats and desserts.

Tip3: Enjoy the shabu-shabu and teriyakis but if the pan is already burnt, please ask the staff to replace it. They are friendly and always willing to assist.

For immediate Korean cravings, Seoul Garden is an immediate option. :)

Mediterranean Taste at MEDZS Somerset 313

Hungry and overwhelmed with the excitement of weekend, me and my husband strolled around Orchard Road to Somerset. The whole avenue is decorated by beautiful Christmas decors and shoppers add more life in the street of high-end shops.

We browse through the mall directory and we saw MEDZS offering mediterranean dishes, it was late afternoon already. I convinced hubby to try and see the place because we love to try different cuisines.

Tip1: MEDZS is located at Somerset 313 B2, the place looks like Santorini marketplace with smell of fresh flowers and perfume.

Tip2: There are books provided for bypassers to read, the environment is very welcoming and relaxing.

Tip3: MEDZS is located near the escalator and very visible. Please note that it is a marketplace style of food adventure, strictly self-service.

Tip4: There are quite a number of food stalls offering different mediterranean dishes from Turkish, Italian, French, Greek and a lot more. Try the different dishes and grace yourself with the food adventure.

Tip5: Upon entering MEDZS, the staff will hand their guests with cards. These cards are used to record the customer's consumption during the visit. Pay the bill at the cashier located at exit.

Chefs will provide alarm for guests because some of the dishes take time to prepare.

Tip6: During our visit, we tried Spanish seafood paella and Turkish beef and mushroom sote with pita bread.

The paella is very sumptous and tasty, complete with shrimp, squid, salmon, egg, veggies and bacon.

The sote is equally delightful, it's not chili at all except when you mistakenly munch the red pepper. The beef is very soft, we liked the sauce and it perfectly jives with pita bread.
We also tried Tropical Juice for refreshment, a blend of pineapple, green apple, lemon and orange.

Tip7: We spent almost SGD 75 for this visit, I can say that it's worth the try.
