With my sister and husband we went to Binondo to visit Chinatown, it was our first time actually.
Tip1: Be careful of your belongings, it is not very safe to stroll around Binondo.
There are a lot of shops in the area, from selling food to different kinds of goodies ( even jewelries ). For us, we were there for a mini-food trip.
Tip2: The President is located in the heart of Ongpin, it's visible among the avenue of different Chinese eateries.
Tip3: The place is simple but always packed of customers.
Tip5: The dishes are yummy and authentically Chinese.
Tip6: After a sumptuous meal relax the happy bellies with a cup of tea.
Tip7: Manila is usually hot, try some fruit refreshments.
Tip8: After enjoying the food at The President, stroll around the place. Divisoria is very near, it's a vast wholesale and retail bazaar.
Tip9: Discover more about Manila's history, don't forget to bring umbrellas.
Tip10: Buy some hopia, tikoy and desserts at Eng Bee Tin. As they say, it is the home of the best hopia and tikoy.
Manila is a great place to stroll around, experience the local's daily routine. But as always, keep safe!
