New Year Countdown at Clarke Quay

Welcoming 2014 is such an exciting event for us as a couple and also for my family who for the first time celebrated New Year abroad.

To give my folks a Singapore New Year Celebration, I chose to book a hotel in Clarke Quay. It is known that fireworks display in Esplanade Marina Bay area is spectacular.

The party is in the city!

I booked a room at Novotel Clarke Quay to spend the New Year's eve.

Tip1: If staying at a hotel nearby Marina area and Clarke Quay, request for a bayview room so that you can enjoy the fireworks show.

Tip2: Novotel is not a bad choice too. The hotel is cozy though quite cheaper than Marina Bay Sands. Always book earlier because most of the hotels are fully booked even a year before.

Tip3: Novotel is also walking distance to Central, a mall where you can buy cakes and New Year's eve food.

Me and my husband went to Chinatown to buy our 13 fruits to follow the tradition.

Tip4: Don't forget the trumpets, party hats and poppers.

Tip5: Dress up for the New Year! Our 2014 theme was polka dots, even the boys did wear dotsie long sleeves. Be fabulous!

Tip6: Countdown party is annually celebrated at The Esplanade and also at Clarke Quay. We can see the party from our window.

As they say, celebrate the New Year with a bang!
Enjoy the fireworks and we give glory to God for all the blessing He grant me and Angelo and our families!

Beautiful and bountiful sight of glittering magic at Singapore's skyline.
