If you are travelling to Singapore, it's practical to experience the island of Bintan, Indonesia. Hour away from Singapore by ferry.
Tip1: If your schedule permits, travel and relax in one of Bintan's resorts. To book tickets and check on the ferry schedules you can refer to https://www.brf.com.sg/eCommerce/Default.aspx .
Tip2: Tanah Merah Ferry terminal is accessible by SMRT buses, no need to worry about the transportation.
Tip3: Be sure to be in the terminal earlier, since there is an immigration checkpoint unit it is advisable to be there ahead of time.
Tip4: Bring your travel documents like passports and NRIC/FIN.
Tip5: There are mini-restaurants in the terminal, expect that the products are more expensive.
Tip6: Be attentive of the your boarding gate and ferry seat numbers to avoid confusions.
Tip7: In arriving Bintan, Indonesia you need to go through immigration again and the resort's buses are waiting for resort's respective guests. Likewise when going back to Bintan Ferry Terminal, the hotel also provides free shuttle bus. The guest should check the schedule at the concierge.
Tip8: Upon arriving at the resort, a traditional dance will welcome the guests.
Tip9: Register and enjoy the spacious lobby.

Tip12: They offer complimentary buffet breakfast and lunch. The resorts have quite a lot of restaurants offering different cuisines to accomodate guests' preferences.
There is one at the lower ground floor of the hotel.
Also, one near the beach.
And there is one near the Kopi-O resto.
Tip13: Before the sunset, the resort sets up dinner on the sand like what we see in Dubai deserts and also they have fire dancers for entertainment.
Tip14: Relaxing ambiance at the resort, morning activities after breakfast can be swimming, spa and some water sports.
Tip15: Stroll by the beach but before going into the water take time to read the reminders.
Red flags at the beach are warnings for the guests to take caution.
Tip16: When trying motor watersports, they ask for separate charge.
Tip17: Can also play beach soccer or just enjoy the sun and the beach.
Tip18: They also offer massage by the beach.
Tip19: There are also swimming pools in the resort, after taking a dip at the beach it's also nice to relax and enjoy the pool bar for a couple of refreshing beverages.
