We did our visita iglesia on Good Friday, it was a hot morning but at noon rainshowers came. We were joined by a good friend who honestly know more about the churches here than me. We visited seven churches for a day, we started early and finished around 6pm.
St. Anthony de Padua Church
Since we are staying in Woodlands we kicked-off our visita iglesia in St. Anthony de Padua Church. It is our second visit to this church, me and husband visited this church last year during his visit here. Please refer to http://www.saint-anthony.org/ to have more information about the church. It's one bus ride from Woodlands Interchange.
St. Joseph Church
St. Joseph Church is located in Bukit Timah, also a bus ride away from Woodlands Interchange.
Take Bus 178 to Bukit Batok, the bus will pass by the church. For more information about St. Joseph Church, please refer to http://www.stjoseph-bt.org.sg/SJC_2/Welcome.html . It was our first visit and we admired the location and the solemn ambiance of the church.
Church of St. Mary of the Angels
One of my godchildren was baptised in this church, this visit was our second. This church has the most modern design so far that we've seen. Church's official website is http://www.stmary.sg/ .
Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary
This church is always included in our itinerary every year, we always go to this church when my husband would visit Singapore. This church is near/just opposite Punggol Park. For more information about this church, please visit http://nativitychurchsingapore.org/?page_id=2 .
Catholic Church of Christ the King
Catholic Church of Christ the King is near Ang Mo Kio train station, just a few bus stops opposite the train station. Please refer to http://christtheking.com.sg/ for more information.
Church of St. Alphonsus
Church of St. Alphonsus is also known as Novena Church and this church is quite popular specially for Filipinos, when we visited the church we did not get the chance to pray inside because the church was very crowded and the facilitators don't allow any more people to get in. For reference please see http://www.catholic.org.sg/parish_detail.php?OrganisationID=11 .
Church of Sts. Peter and Paul
To end our visita iglesia we visited Sts. Peter and Paul church in Queenstreet. Their website is http://www.catholic.org.sg/parish_detail.php?OrganisationID=2 . The church is quite old and antique, it's made of wood but can still hold quite a lot of parishioners.
God bless us all! Peace and love.
