A good friend bought a voucher for SGD 17.90 per person to avail
Buffet ala Carte at a thai resto and she asked me to try it with her. Honestly, I am not a fan of buying vouchers to avail
discounts but I still gave it a go.
Tip1: When buying vouchers with very appealing deals, try
not to expect too much. There are some deals that would mention big discounts
but when you go to the place it’s actually the actual prize.
Tip2: Buying food vouchers is quite acceptable but for
vacations, I don’t think it’s worth it. So please be aware and read carefully
the terms and conditions of the deal.
Tip4: The place is simple, it looks like a living room
converted to a restaurant. But for casual dining, I think it’s okay.
Tip5: SGD17.50 for a Buffet ala carte is actually worth it, because usual meal in Singapore except for hawkers cost SGD15 and above.
Tip6: They have 28 thai dishes, I actually prefer buffet ala carte because it’s more formal than the open buffet. The waiters serve and assist the diners.

Tip7: Their salad counter has 3 salad varieties and one dessert.
My favorite thai salad is the green mango salad, I love the sour and sweet taste and the presence of peanuts in it.
They also have the thai papaya salad which is very refreshing, it has tomato and chilis.

Also, they got crispy chicken salad. It has onion stalks,
tomatos, white onions and crispy chicken bits.
For dessert they got, tapioca, ruby and papaya with sweet
coconut milk.
Tip8: Creams and dairy products can lessen the burning chili taste.

Tip9: They offer overflowing kalamansi-pineapple juice. By the way, I love the kalamansi-pineapple juice. I literally spent most of the time drinking the refreshing juice.
Tip10: Sunthai signature dishes are:

Pineapple fried rice: this is for unlimited servings
Tom Yam Soup with prawn: this is only for one serving, tom
yam is a thai soup which is quite chili but very soothing. A little bit sour
with dash of sweetness with prawn and mushroom.
Boneless stuffed chicken wing: this is only for one serving,
chicken wing stuffed with chicken meat with herbs and chopped veggies.
Delicious!
Chicken wrapped in pandan leaves: this is for one-time
serving as well, chicken wrapped in pandan leaves and fried. Juicy and yummy
with pandan smell.
Thai style chicken satay: one time serving, tasteful
barbeque chicken with chili sauce.
Stir fried mixed seafood with basil and long bean: one time
serving only, a little bit chili which have prawn, squid, basil and long beans.
I am not a buffet person so I just had these dishes but they
still have other dishes that you can
try. What matters to me is that we are full and smiling.
Enjoy eating ( kor hai ja-rern aa-haan )!
